EquiManagement Publishes 100th Disease Du Jour Podcast

EquiManagement’s Disease Du Jour podcast published its 100th episode on January 26, 2023. That episode featured Dr. Cara Wright giving Tips on Handling an Equine Disease Outbreak.  Disease Du Jour published its first podcast on April 3, 2019, featuring Dr. Steve Reed discussing equine herpesvirus.  “We are very proud of the Disease Du Jour podcast,” said EquiManagement Editor Kimberly S. Equine Network’s Horse Week Features Win Gold at the 2021 VETTY Awards

EquiManagement’s parent company Equine Network LLC scored two Gold awards for video in the 2021 VETTY Awards. Equine Network’s inaugural Horse Week brought to you by Boehringer Ingelheim had two features—”On Their Shoulders” brought to you by Equitarian Initiative and “The Making of a Champion” brought you by Boehringer Ingelheim—take home Gold Awards for the Website Consumer Video category at the 2021 VETTY Awards announced in January 2022. The VETTY Awards are the first and only animal health marketing awards competition with the goal of recognizing the dedication, intelligence and creativity of the North American animal health marketing teams and agencies. After a lengthy submission and judging period, the highest-scoring winners were revealed at the VMX Veterinary Meeting & Expo presented by The North American Veterinary Community (NAVC), January 15-18, 2022. Equine Network’s Horse Week is a week-long viewing experience that includes profiles of incredible equine athletes, equine storytelling that celebrates the horse-human bond, and heartwarming tales of horse heroics. In “On Their Shoulders,” viewers learn how the Equitarian Initiative and their network of veterinarians volunteers help provide basic healthcare to working horses, mules and donkeys all over the world. “The Making of a Champion” gives an up-close look at the hard work, dedication and science it takes to get high-performance horses ready to win. “Both ‘On Their Shoulders’ and ‘The Making of a Champion’ take viewers on an experience, showing them a new, interesting side of the equine world. EquiManagement Shines in AHP Awards

BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 20—EquiManagement continued its winning ways at the 2021 American Horse Publications Equine Media Awards. A highlight of the AHP’s “Back in the Saddle” Conference, the awards dinner was held on the evening of September 18 in Irving, Texas.    An Equine Network brand focused on the equine veterinary industry, EquiManagement clinched top honors in the “Breaking News or Investigative Reporting Single Article” category with Dr. Amy Grice’s “Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Equine Practice.” Production of this article was supported by Merck Animal Health.   This article was based on a survey created and conducted by EquiManagement and Grice, VMD, MBA, to gain insights on equine practice, changes, issues and outlooks from the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. The survey was administered in August of 2020 and was published in the winter 2020 issue of EquiManagement magazine. When the article was posted online in December 2020, the numbers in the initial paragraph were updated to reflect the state of the world at that time.  EquiManagement also received Honorable Mentions in the categories “Service to the Consumer Single Article” and “Publishing Media Equine-Related Podcast.”   The Honorable Mention in “Service to the Consumer Single Article” came for “How to Embrace and Leverage Growth Mindset” by Dr. Colleen Best.
